Who are we?
We're Cephalopod Ink, a small group of game loving folks spread across Boston and Paris. Our studio is worker-owned, so every decision, idea, and tentacle (metaphorically speaking) comes from us working together as a team.
We bring over 40 years of experience to bear, including working on IP such as Marvel, Star Wars, and Mario, as well as working at or with studios of the likes of Bethesda, Riot, and Blizzard.
Why Cephalopods?
Because cephalopods are smart, resourceful, and just the right amount of weird.

Zak
Creative Director
Zak started learning programming early from his dad. The first game he ever made was a version of Snake written in assembly. He has been obsessed with making games ever since. The moment he decided he wanted to do it professionally was during the end credits of Portal, and that dream is still alive.
Since then, he has been working in the gaming industry for 10+ years, working on everything from digital card games to action rogue-likes. He plays just about every genre, but recently has been into fighting games.
Lia
Artistic Director
Lia's been drawing for just about her whole life and has been a freelance illustrator and concept artist for 9+ years. Video games like Pokemon and Spyro inspired her early art and love of games.
Nowadays she can often be found playing dressing up in Guild Wars 2, decorating things in Sims and Animal Crossing, and of course, she's always collecting Pokemon.
Katie
Business Director
With 10+ years of experience working on DevOps teams, Katie knows her way around the technical side of things—but she keeps getting drawn back to the business world. The spreadsheets? They call to her.
When she’s not balancing budgets or optimizing workflows, she's relaxing with a cozy farming sim like Stardew Valley or meticulously fine-tuning her strategy in idle sims like Rusty’s Retirement.
Andrew
Technical Director
Andrew has worked as a software engineer for 13+ years in the gaming industry, both working at a small contracting studio as well as at big companies like Bethesda and Google.
His passion for games started with an N64 and getting Ocarina of Time and Mario 64 for Christmas, both of which are still all-time favorites of his. Since then he's gotten wonderfully lost in worlds such as The Elder Scrolls, and survived (and strangely enjoyed) the gauntlets of From Software games, but he will always have a special place for puzzle games.
